How to use the name tracing sheet

Type the child's name in the box above — the sheet changes as you type. Choose Emma for a capital first letter and lowercase after it, the way names are written in school, or EMMA for all capitals if the child is still learning them. Then print in color or black and white, on US Letter or A4.

The name is shown large at the top. The child traces it three times on handwriting lines — the first one is darker, as a model — then writes it alone on two lines that start with a dotted first letter. The box at the bottom is for a self-portrait.

The name you type stays in your browser: the sheet is drawn on this page, nothing is sent anywhere, and the name is not saved. Names can use the letters A to Z, up to 12 letters.

Practising single letters first? There is a sheet for every letter (A to Z), and all 26 in one PDF: the Letters A to Z pack.
