How to fold the book

One sheet of paper, one cut and a few folds make a little book with eight pages. Print the sheet, then:

1. Turn the sheet sideways so the cover (page 1) is at the bottom right. Crease all the dashed lines.

2. Fold it in half, short sides together. From the fold, cut along the solid line to the middle — stop at the dashed line.

3. Open it and fold the long way, pictures outside. Hold the ends and push them together — the cut opens into a diamond.

4. Fold the pages around so the cover is on top. Check the little page numbers — 2, 3, 4… in order.

G is for giraffe

Let the child color the pictures, trace the dotted letters and write their name on the cover. Then read it together — it is their own book.
