Before children write letters, they need to steer a pencil along a line. Each row on this sheet is a dotted line from a green dot to a star: the child puts the pencil on the dot and traces the line all the way to the star without lifting it. Straight lines come first, then steps, zigzags and waves, and finally the round bumps and loops that many letters are made of.
Set Lines to Straight for straight lines and steps, to Zigzags & waves, to Curves & loops, or to Mixed for all six kinds on one sheet. Choose 4, 6 or 8 rows: fewer rows give longer, bigger lines for small hands. Click a row to change its kind of line.
Press New sheet for a new order of lines, or lock the rows you like first. There is no answer key — tracing is checked by looking. Every sheet prints in color or black and white, on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
