After first sounds come last sounds. Every box shows a picture and three letters. The child says the word, listens for the sound at the very end and circles its letter: a cat ends with t, a sun with n, a frog with g. The word itself is not printed, so the child has to listen, not look.
Only words whose last letter is heard are used — no silent e and no pairs of letters like sh. The two wrong letters never appear anywhere in the word, so the first sound can not be mistaken for the last. SetCase to lowercase or capital letters, and choose four, six or nine pictures.
Press New sheet for new pictures. The answer key prints on a second page only when you ask for it. Every sheet prints in color or black and white, on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
