Every box on these worksheets shows two things lined up at one end: two pencils lying one above the other, or two towers of cubes standing side by side. The child looks, compares and circles the longer or the shorter pencil, the taller or the shorter tower. Comparing two lengths side by side comes long before rulers and numbers.
Set Objects to pencils or cube towers, and Circle the to longer (taller), shorter, or mixed — then every box asks its own question, so the child has to read it or listen to it. The two things are never the same length, and on a new sheet they always differ by at least two steps, so the answer is easy to see.
Click any box to make either thing longer or shorter, lock the boxes you like, and pressNew sheet for the rest. The answer key prints on a second page only when you ask for it, and every sheet prints in color or black and white, on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
