Row

Every row on these worksheets is a short number line: seven numbers in order, with one or two of them hidden in empty boxes. To fill a box the child looks at the numbers on both sides and counts on from the one before it — the same counting they do out loud, now written down in order.

Set Numbers to 10 for the first steps, 20 for the teen numbers, or 100 to practice counting past the tens, where 39 is followed by 40. Missinghides one number in each row or two; two hidden numbers never stand side by side, so there is always a number to count on from. The first and the last number of every line are always shown, and a line may start at 0, as number lines in kindergarten often do.

Click any row to start its line at another number, lock the rows you like, and pressNew sheet for the rest. The answer key prints on a second page only when you ask for it, and every sheet prints in color or black and white, on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
