A ten frame is two rows of five boxes. Dots fill it in order — the top row from left to right, then the bottom row — so a child can see a number at a glance instead of counting every dot: a full top row is five, a full frame is ten, and seven is five and two more. Working with the same frame again and again builds that sense of how numbers are made.
Set Mode to How many? to print frames with dots, where the child counts and writes the number in the box, or to Show the number, where the frame is empty and the child draws the dots for the number under it. Count to 5 prints a single row of five boxes, 10 a full ten frame, and 20 two ten frames, one above the other, for the numbers from 11 to 20: the first frame is always full.
Click any box to change its number, lock the boxes you like, and pressNew sheet for the rest. The answer key prints on a second page only when you ask for it, and every sheet prints in color or black and white, on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
