Scene

Counting a neat row of pictures is one skill; counting pictures scattered all over a page is another. Every scene here is full of kites, balloons, fish, frogs or flowers lying at every angle, and under the scene each kind of picture has a box. The child finds all the kites, counts them, writes the number in the box and moves on to the next kind. Every scene has three kinds of pictures, and no two kinds have the same count, so the child cannot just copy one number three times.

Set Numbers to Up to 10 for counts from 2 to 10, or to Up to 5 for counts from 1 to 5. Choose Questions for one big scene or two scenes on the page. The pictures never overlap, so a child who touches each one with a pencil and crosses it off will not lose count. On a black and white print the pictures are outlines.

Press New sheet for new scenes. The answer key prints on a second page only when you ask for it. Every sheet prints on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
