Question

Every box on these worksheets mixes shapes from two groups — red and blue ones, circles and squares, or big and small ones. The child sorts them by looking, counts each group and writes both numbers in the two boxes at the bottom, each next to a small picture of its group.

Set Sort by to color, shape or size. When sorting by shape the colors are mixed on purpose, and when sorting by size every shape on a card is the same kind, so the child has to look at the one thing that matters. There are one to six shapes in each group and up to nine in a box. In black and white, the two color groups print as gray and white.

Click any box to put more or fewer shapes in either group, lock the boxes you like, and press New sheet for the rest. The answer key prints on a second page only when you ask for it, on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
