A cut-and-glue puzzle practises two things at once: cutting along a line and seeing how parts make a whole. Every sheet has two puzzles. On the left is a frame divided into squares by dashed lines, and on the right are the pieces of the picture in a jumbled row, each with a number underneath. The child cuts along the dashed lines, looks at each piece and glues it in the square where it belongs.
Set Pieces to 4 for a 2 by 2 puzzle or to 6 for a 3 by 2 puzzle. Set Guide to Faint picture to show the whole picture in pale colors inside the frame, which makes a good first puzzle, or to Grid only for a harder one. On a black and white print the pieces are outlines, so the child can color them before cutting. The pictures are only the ones that have something drawn in every square, so no piece is blank.
The answer key shows the finished picture and lists which numbered piece goes into each square. Press New sheet for new pictures. Every sheet prints on US Letter or A4. Nothing to sign up for.
